Integrity Staffing Jobs UX Design

Integrity Jobs

Integrity Staffing Solutions (ISS), the 11th largest industrial staffing agency in the US, had an outdated job application website. The company asked me to redesign its website and tailor the user experience based on UX research I conducted (focus groups and interviews with the end-users to gain insight on how to better structure the hierarchy and be useful to the target audicence) and actively design for inclusivity while considering which platform most users accessed the site. They were looking for a responsive web experience that is understandable and consistent with the updated brand guidelines and new company logo I previously created earlier in the year.

UI, UX, and interaction design for ISS. I worked with front-end developers to bring the design to life over a series of four months. The goal of the revamped online job portal was to simplify the UX: creating an intuitive, and responsive design, clear hierarchy and a simple user flow (with a focus on the mobile-user) that highlights the calls to action and key features. The design for the website helped increase traffic to 3 million annual visits.

The original ISS jobs website.

In this screenshot you can see the example of the original Integrity Jobs website, which had the following problems:
• outdated design
• unclear hierarchy
• lack of responsive design
• confusing elements and too many call outs
• not user-centered in terms of ease of use

The original design is unlikely to receive as many job applications or website visits due to the unfriendly UI and UX. During my UX research and design sprints, I received feedback on reducing the home page elements to highlight key features that will help users achieve their goal of applying for jobs—and quickly. For this reason—looking at the customer’s perspective—I reduced the elements of the home page and prioritized the calls to action using a restricted color palette.
